1.1 Logging On

Access the site: Open your browser and navigate to www.bldlegalized.com

Sign up: Click "Sign Up." You will see a 3-step registration process:

Step 1 User Information: Fill in all the required fields with your information:

Click "Next" to proceed to Step 2.

Step 2 Verification: You will receive an OTP (One-Time Password) at your provided email address.

Enter the 6-digit code that we have sent to your email address Input your OTP, then click "Next"

Step 3  Password Setup: Create a strong password. The password:

After successfully submitting your password, you will see a message: "Congratulations! Your registration process is complete."

1.2 Sign in:

Click "Login" in the top right corner. Enter your email address and password, then click "Login" to access your account.

1.3 Forgot password:

If you forget your password, use the "Forgot password?" link on the login page.

1.4 My Home Page (Dashboard)

Upon signing in, you land on the Dashboard, your personalized home page. It displays the main services in clickable tiles (e.g., Legal Search, BLD Volume, Bookmarks). The right side features a calendar titled "My Reminders".

 

Subscription Selection:

After login, you will see an option for subscription. Click "Subscribe Now" and you will see 3 packages:

  • Basic Access and its features
  • Professional Access and its features
  • Enterprise Access and its feature

Choose any of these by clicking "Sign Up Now." It will redirect you to the "Make Payment" page. Accept the terms and conditions by clicking "I accept the Terms & Conditions," and then click "Proceed with the Secured Payment."

You can pay through:

  • Card
  • Mobile Banking
  • Net Banking

After payment is complete, you can access your package with its enlisted features.

The Legal Search page is the heart of Digital BLD’s research capability. To access it, click "Legal Search" from the dashboard. You can use any combination of the following filters:

  • Write(s)/Sentence(s): Enter keywords or phrases to search within judgments.
  • Division: Choose Appellate Division or High Court Division.
  • Jurisdiction: Select from a list (e.g., Original, Civil Appellate, Criminal Appellate).
  • Filing Year: Choose the year the case was filed.
  • Judgment Year & Month: Filter by the year and month of judgment.
  • Publication Year: Limit results to cases published in a specific year.
  • Case/Volume/Page Number: Enter citation details to find a specific decision.
  • Parties names: Type names of petitioner/respondent.
  • Counsel names: Search by names of advocates.
  • Judge names: Filter by judges’ names.
  • Act/Order/Rule name: Search cases involving a specific statute.
  • Legislation Status: Filter by Active, Amended, or Repealed.
  • Section(s)/Subsection(s): Enter specific sections to narrow the search.

Click Search to display results, or Reset/Clear to clear all fields.

3.1 Search Results Page

Results appear as a list of judgments. A lefthand column of filters allows you to refine the results by subject, court, year, or judge. Each case includes icons for Bookmark, Print, Download, and Share.

3.2 Case Detail Page

When you open a case, you will see the full text and metadata (parties, judges, counsel, dates). The page includes several tools:

  • Print: Opens a print-friendly version or saves as PDF.
  • Download: Saves the judgment as a PDF for offline reading.
  • Translate: Converts the judgment into another language (e.g., Bangla ↔ English).
  • Bookmark: Saves the case to your bookmarks list.
  • Notes: Lets you add private annotations or highlights.
  • Share: Share the judgment with other Digital BLD user.

The BLD Volume section replicates the printed volumes of Bangladesh Legal Decisions.

  1. From the dashboard, click BLD Volume.
  2. Select a volume number from the displayed grid.
  3. After selecting a volume, choose from three tabs:
    • Index: View scanned index pages.
    • Appellate Division: List of Appellate Division cases.
    • High Court Division: List of High Court cases.
  4. Click on a case title to open its full judgment.

5.1 Bookmarks

Bookmarks let you store cases for quick retrieval.

  • To save: When viewing a case, click the Bookmark icon.
  • To view: Go to the dashboard and click Bookmark.
  • Bookmarked cases appear as cards. You can click a card to open the case or use the trash icon to delete it.

5.2 Folders (My Folder)

Folders allow you to group and share cases by topic.

  • Open My Folder from the dashboard.
  • Click + New to create a folder, give it a name, and save.
  • Open a folder to view its contents, add cases, or remove cases.
  • Sharing folders may be available to professional/enterprise subscribers.

Legal Terminology (Dictionary)

Accessible from the dashboard, this is a built-in dictionary of legal terms. You can search for a term or browse alphabetically to find definitions.

Calendar & Reminders

On the right side of the dashboard is the My Reminders calendar. Click Add Event to enter a title, description, date, and time. Use it to track filing deadlines, court dates, and research milestones.

Blog

Accessible from the header, the Blog section features articles on legal technology, intellectual property, court developments, and more.

Sign Off / Logout

Always log out when you finish your session. Click your profile name in the top-right corner and select Sign Out. Do not simply close the browser window.

  • Use folders early to keep your research organized.
